6 Small Habits That Changed My Skin More Than Any Product

June 6, 2025 · 5 min read

I wanted the answer to be a bottle. It really wasn't.
These six things did more for me than anything I bought.
Short lines. Real lessons. Read it on your phone in five minutes.
And if you make it to the end, I'll tell you the one thing that finally made this easier for me.
None of this is medical advice. It's my own experience plus general skincare education — anything health-related belongs in a conversation with a clinician who knows you.
Water before coffee
Small. Annoyingly effective.
Sunscreen on cloudy days too
The clouds are not sunscreen.
Clean pillowcase twice a week
Cheap, easy, noticeable.
Hands off my face
I didn't know how often I did it until I counted.
An actual bedtime
Skin notices before I do.
Doing the routine even when I don't feel like it
Especially then.
So here's the part I promised at the top.
Every habit on that list works because it's small enough to survive a bad week — which is the same reason I stuck with what I use now.
For me that meant stopping the search for a miracle and picking something simple I'd actually keep doing. Addie Health is where I landed, and it's the thing I point friends to when they ask what I'd start with.
It isn't magic and I won't pretend it is. It's just one less decision on a day that already has plenty.
