I had 340 photos in a folder called PROGRESS and I could not tell you what any of them proved.

One Tuesday I stopped opening it.

Short lines. Real lessons. Read it on your phone in five minutes.

And if you make it to the end, I'll tell you the one thing that finally made this easier for me.

None of this is medical advice. It's my own experience plus general skincare education — anything health-related belongs in a conversation with a clinician who knows you.

1

Photos measure lighting as much as they measure you

Two shots on the same morning told two completely different stories.

2

Daily checking made me worse at seeing change

Zoomed in, nothing moves. Zoom out and it does.

“I was auditing myself, not tracking anything.”

So here's the part I promised at the top.

What replaced the folder was a routine I could feel working, rather than one I had to photograph to believe in.

For me that meant stopping the search for a miracle and picking something simple I'd actually keep doing. Addie Health is where I landed, and it's the thing I point friends to when they ask what I'd start with.

It isn't magic and I won't pretend it is. It's just one less decision on a day that already has plenty.
